Marist College requested the design and permitting of the new Tenney Stadium at Leonidoff Field and Tennis Pavilion including coordination and oversight of entire design team.
Design of the new stadium included an entire analysis of the campus stormwater system, identification of post development stormwater conflicts and preparation of a plan for campus stormwater improvements. Within the stadium, designers incorporated a synthetic turf system and natural berms and landscaping along the western side of the stadium which provided “green” seating and viewing areas.
New lighting and stadium seating were appropriately situated to provide maximum viewing areas while screening the new facility from the nearby highway systems. The new Tennis Pavilion was built in an area previously used by commercial industrial facilities. After acquiring these properties, Marist College incorporated the new Tennis Center within a new student housing cluster and adjacent to the Colleges new student walkway system.
