KARC Planning Consultants secured site plan approval for the renovation of the existing Bardavon Office Building located at 31 & 39 Market Street in the City of Poughkeepsie, New York. The facades of each building will be historically restored as part of the New York State Historic Preservation Office (NYSHPO) Tax Credit Program. The two buildings will be internally linked on the upper floors and converted into 49 residential apartments. The commercial uses on the ground floor will be preserved, including the Bardavon Opera House Lobby, Box Office, and Theater.
KARC managed the team and permitting including SEQRA documentation, Zoning Analysis, coordination with agencies including the New York State Office of Parks Recreation and Historic Preservation (NYS OPRHP), and Planning Board presentations.
