KARC Planning Consultants assisted with securing financial incentives through the Dutchess County Industrial Development Agency (DCIDA) for the development of Locust Grove Apartments, located at 2736-2738 South Road in the Town of Poughkeepsie, New York. The project provides additional multifamily rental housing within Dutchess County and supports the continued expansion of the County’s housing supply, an identified community and regional need.
KARC prepared and coordinated the project’s IDA application, highlighting the project’s investment, development of new housing, and broader economic and community benefits. The application demonstrated how the project contributes to local housing opportunities while supporting continued investment in this location of the Town of Poughkeepsie.
KARC represented the Applicant throughout the DCIDA review and approval process. As a result, the project received DCIDA financial assistance in the form of exemptions from sales and use taxes and mortgage recording taxes, helping facilitate the development of this new residential community.
