Poughkeepsie Sand Terminal Site Plan Approval

KARC Planning Consultants secured site plan approval for a proposed aggregate materials storage and distribution facility along the Hudson River in the City of Poughkeepsie. The industrial site includes vacant historic buildings, an MTA-owned railroad, and utilities serving multiple properties. Due to the amount of easements, this project required careful coordination among various City agencies and the Dutchess County Department of Health. Once complete, this project will receive aggregate materials, including sand and gravel, from barges along the Hudson River and distribute them to customers throughout the Hudson Valley.

KARC managed the team of consultants and project permitting, including coordination among City and County Departments. KARC represented the client at City of Poughkeepsie Planning Board meetings. KARC will continue working with the project team to ensure ongoing compliance with City and County regulations.
